Apple’s iPhone Pocket became one of the company’s most curious and talked-about accessories this November. The knit shoulder pouch, created with Japanese fashion house Issey Miyake, sold out almost instantly despite mixed reactions and a steep price.
Some buyers loved its bold look. Others mocked it. Yet Apple still cleared its entire stock of both versions — priced at $150 and $230 — within days. This quick sellout created the perfect opening for copycat products.

Knockoffs Hit Amazon Within Days
Soon after Apple’s launch, imitation versions began appearing on Amazon. One of the first listings arrived on November 19, titled the “Trendy Phone Pouch with Stretch Knit Material.” It came from seller JKEindia and featured marketing language that closely resembled Apple’s own description.
The design mimicked the long over-the-shoulder version, down to the stretchy knit pattern and color options. The listing even showed a model wearing it, though the image looked noticeably less polished than Apple’s.
While Apple charged more than $200 for its premium style, the Amazon copy sold for $99, making it less than half the price.
Cheaper Imitations Keep Appearing
Another knockoff soon followed: the “2025 Knitted Long Shoulder Phone Bag,” priced at just $29.99. It borrowed the original colors but used cheaper materials and a simpler knit.
These prices may attract shoppers who didn’t secure the official version. However, many buyers may not realize they’re purchasing a knockoff until it arrives, especially if they heard about Apple’s accessory but never saw it in person.
A Risk for Uninformed Shoppers
Tech-savvy iPhone users will easily spot the differences. But casual shoppers may confuse these copies with Apple’s product. Some may spend $100 thinking they’re buying a premium Apple accessory, only to receive a basic knit sleeve with a pocket.
