Apple Fitness+ is about to reach millions of new users as Apple prepares its largest international rollout yet. Beginning December 15, the service will launch in 28 additional countries, giving more people access to guided workouts and Apple Watch-based fitness tracking.

This expansion covers key markets such as Chile, Hong Kong, India, Singapore, Taiwan, and the Netherlands. Apple also plans to introduce Fitness+ in Japan in early 2026, marking another major step in its global strategy.

With this update, Fitness+ will soon operate in 49 countries and regions, making it one of Apple’s most widely distributed subscription services.

AI Dubbing Helps Localize Workouts

Apple is using generative AI to help bring Fitness+ to more users. The company will digitally dub workout and meditation videos in Spanish and German, with Japanese set to follow in early 2026.

The AI voices are not generic. Each dubbed voice is created using a model trained on the real voices of 28 Fitness+ trainers. Apple says this approach keeps the tone and energy that users expect from the service.

Each week, Apple will release new dubbed workouts alongside the original English versions. Users can switch languages mid-workout or set a preferred language in the app’s settings.

More Music Options, Including K-Pop

Alongside the geographic expansion, Apple is adding more music choices for workouts. K-Pop will now appear as a selectable genre across all training categories, responding to growing global demand.

Jay Blahnik, Apple’s VP of Fitness Technologies, said the company is “excited” about what he called Fitness+’s biggest expansion since launch. This move strengthens Apple’s push to make fitness more accessible through technology, smart devices, and now generative AI.

A Step Toward a More Global Fitness Platform

Apple’s use of AI translation comes at a time when automated dubbing and subtitles face increasing scrutiny. However, Apple’s approach includes direct involvement from trainers, which may help ease concerns about accuracy and consistency.

As Fitness+ reaches new regions, Apple continues to position the platform as a worldwide fitness hub supported by wearable tech and AI-enhanced content.
