Apple TV+ enters this year’s awards race with 14 Golden Globe nominations, marking one of its most competitive seasons to date. The total sits slightly below last year’s record, but the platform still shows clear momentum as it strengthens its position in prestige television.

Importantly, Apple captured three of the six slots in the Best Television Series — Drama category. This achievement highlights the platform’s growing consistency in delivering premium storytelling. Its nominated dramas include Severance, Slow Horses, and the rising favorite Pluribus.

Breakout Performances Drive Major Acting Nods

Apple’s shows also performed strongly in acting categories. Pluribus earned a nomination for Best Television Series — Musical or Comedy, and the series’ momentum continued with a nomination for Rhea Seehorn in the Best Female Actor — Drama category.

The competition grows even tighter within Apple’s lineup. Severance star Britt Lower joins Seehorn in the same category, giving Apple two contenders. Tramell Tillman from Severance and Billy Crudup from The Morning Show both compete for Best Supporting Male Actor. Meanwhile, Gary Oldman picked up another nomination for his lead performance in Slow Horses, adding star power to Apple’s awards roster.

Apple’s Film Projects Secure Key Recognition

Apple also made its mark in film. Although F1: The Movie did not reach the Best Picture lineup, it still earned two noteworthy nominations. Hans Zimmer received recognition for the film’s score, and the production secured a nomination in the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category. These nominations reflect Apple’s ongoing push toward high-quality theatrical releases.

Looking Ahead to the Ceremony

The Golden Globe winners will be announced on January 11, airing live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+. With nominations spanning drama, comedy, and film, Apple TV+ enters the ceremony with strong visibility and genuine awards-season momentum.
