Popular adventure and management game Dave the Diver is preparing to make a bigger splash in Apple’s ecosystem. Preorders are now open ahead of its September 17 release on iPhone, iPad and Mac.

The Apple release brings the game’s unusual mix of underwater exploration and restaurant management to mobile players. Moreover, developers have adjusted several features to make the experience better suited to portable devices.

Diving Meets Restaurant Management

Dave the Diver divides its gameplay between two very different activities. During the day, players explore underwater environments, catch fish, farm resources and discover new areas. At night, they switch roles and help operate a busy sushi restaurant.

That combination has helped the game stand apart from traditional fishing or restaurant simulators. Instead of focusing on one repetitive task, it regularly shifts the player between exploration and business management.

For the Apple version, the developers have also introduced mobile-focused controls. For example, players can use gyro tilt controls when pouring beverages. In addition, fast travel should make progression quicker and reduce unnecessary movement between locations.

The package will offer more than the main game. Players will also receive additional content, including the Dredge content pack and the In the Jungle expansion.

However, device requirements vary across Apple platforms. iPhone players need iOS 13 or newer, while iPad users require iPadOS 13 or later. Mac users need macOS 11 or newer and an M1-powered Mac or later. Apple Vision devices require visionOS 1.0.

Pricing and September Release

The App Store version launches September 17, although players can preorder it now. The initial download is free, but unlocking the complete game requires an $8.99 in-app purchase.

Meanwhile, the expanded Apple release could introduce Dave the Diver to a wider mobile audience. With touchscreen-friendly changes, included DLC and support across several Apple devices, the September launch gives players another way to explore its colorful underwater world.
