Bluesound has expanded its premium audio platform by introducing native Apple Music streaming across compatible devices.
The company announced the integration on October 20, 2026, through an update to its BluOS operating system.

The update allows users to stream Apple Music directly through wireless speakers, soundbars, and stereo components.
Previously, listeners could use AirPlay 2 to send music from an iPhone or iPad.
However, the new integration removes the need for a separate device to handle music playback.
Consequently, customers can enjoy a more convenient listening experience across their home audio systems.
Apple Music Expands Across BluOS Devices
The new integration extends beyond Bluesound’s own speakers and audio equipment.
Compatible products from NAD Electronics, PSB Speakers, DALI Loudspeakers, Cyrus, and Monitor Audio also gain access.
Furthermore, users can stream music to multiple speakers within one room or throughout their homes.
The BluOS Controller app manages playback and connects compatible devices.
To begin, customers must link their Apple Music accounts through the application.
After signing in once, they can access the service across supported equipment.
Additionally, the software update comes at no extra cost, although users need an active Apple Music subscription.
Premium Speakers Offer More Listening Options
Bluesound offers several audio products designed for different listening preferences and budgets.
The Pulse Flex provides 50 watts of output and costs $379.
Meanwhile, the more powerful Pulse M delivers 80 watts for $599.
Customers seeking greater output can choose the 150-watt Pulse 2i, priced at $999.
For existing audio systems, the $429 Node Nano connects streaming services to amplifiers or powered speakers.
Furthermore, the premium Node Icon costs $1,299 and includes advanced audio conversion technology.
Bluesound also offers Dolby Atmos soundbars, including the $999 Pulse Cinema Mini and $1,499 Pulse Cinema.
Lossless Audio Support Remains Unclear
Despite the new integration, Bluesound has not confirmed whether Apple Music’s lossless audio format works through BluOS.
This uncertainty may matter to listeners who prioritize high-resolution audio quality.
However, native streaming still represents a significant improvement in everyday convenience.
Additionally, multi-room support allows households to manage music across several compatible devices.
The update also strengthens Apple Music’s presence beyond Apple’s own HomePod ecosystem.
Ultimately, Bluesound’s latest software expansion gives premium audio customers more flexibility when streaming their favorite music.
