iMac on steriods

Wildstrom points that out the new iMacs are speed demons, but the real improvements will come along when developers have tweaked their code to take advantage of the new Intel architecture (check out some of the apps that have gone universal in our Universal Binary category).

I'm considering the purchase of an Intel iMac. Can anyone out there who has already purchased one comment on how well MS Office 2004 Apps work under Rosetta (ie Word, Excel, PowerPoint)? These are must haves for my job, and I do not want to purchase if the performance of these apps is noticeably subpar compared to my G3 Powerbook or my P4 notebook.

Thanks...
