Last week, Scott wrote about a poor Powerbook that had been badly damaged, but continued to work. Oddly enough, I found the
iMac pictured at right on my workbench this morning when I arrived at my day job. It seems that a student abruptly
introduced it to the floor, badly cracking the case around the display. The good news: it still works. You've got to
love these tough-as-nails Macs.To get an instant map to any address, just go to your Address Book and right click on the address field of any one of your contacts and select "Map Of." The address will then be revealed in Google Maps on Safari. You can do the same if a data detector determines there is an address in an e-mail in Mail.

well. Slave labour graphics' store/shop had a drunk driver plow thru their shop, and their G4 went flying when the car hit it. they just hooked it back up and it booted just fine.

Try dropping one off a third storey balcony... they don't survive. :-) I've seen the results of that one. "Beyond economical repair."
