Apple easter egg in Pixar's "Cars"

Brian at FreeMacBlog writes in to point out an Apple easter egg he spotted in Pixar's Cars. During the opening race, one of the cars that is briefly on screen has an Apple logo on the hood, and is fittingly numbered "84." Pretty cool, Brian! Did anyone else spot this car?

George Orwell wrote "1984" in 1948. and "1984" was the inspiration for Apple's 1984 "Introducing Macintosh" commercial. So 1948 should have rang a bell is a very faint distant way.

does 1948 ring a bell to you? seems to remind me of a ground breaking commercial done by apple
I sort of think that "8" in "84" is more of an infinite loop than an 8!

Yes, also there is a scene where McQueen is looking for his mack truck - there is a trailer w/ the apple logo too.

My friend has a cam-job torrent of the movie so I asked him to show it to me so that I could find the Apple logo car. I just found the sound quality really poor and the movie was very dark. The torrent just can't compare to the original movie by any stretch.
So run out and see the movie (and don't forget to stay though the entire closing credits. The bonus scene with John Ratzenberger is the funniest part of the entire movie)
