Washington Times likes the MacBook

Mark Kellner, writing for the Washington Times, took his MacBook to Turkey and dropped it two feet during his review. His verdict? This is a laptop to get, even if it does run a little hot. Mark likes the glossy screen (as do I) and he finds the keyboard to be quite nice to type on (once again, I agree).
Mark recommends that you get 2 gigs of RAM to really make this baby fly, but you can't find a better notebook for the price.

John Henry Brown-
I think that if next year's Office and Photoshop require more than 2 GB of RAM to run, then the problem is not with the reviewers, but with the programmers at Microsoft and Adobe. It is insane for any application, short of massive data-processing, to require that much memory.

So do I. The RAM is a big help. But what happens in a year when 10.5 and Office 2007 and CS 3 are out? More RAM will likely be called for, but you can't fit more RAM in the computer. What happens next year is called planned obsolescence.
It's sad that there are no Intel Macs that will hold more than 2 GB of RAM. It's more than sad that no reviewers are calling attention to this major lack of upgradeability.
WHY WHY WHY is is that when people write reviews about the macbook, they always seems to write the price of the black one. I mean... nevermind that you can buy the same model this guy uses for $150 USD less. $1449 is alot more attractive than $1600. I mean... ive read it time and time again. I am just curious. Is it because they figure all other pc laptops are black... i mean, i know this guy was given this computer, but he could have at least mentioned that you can get it for $150 less... either than or Apple should drop the price of the Blackbook to match the white ones.
