Apple Store openings: Your reports

Its Southampton ENGLAND not New York!!! Thats where the new store is opening... and soon by the looks of things, right now its just a black box with an apple on the front, but soon it will be the first one on the south coast! Sorry dude

I wish I would have been there :/ I'll have to drop by soon.

Ben (#3) B.Mac wasn't crushed by the Apple Store, it was closed a long time ago and the only cause is bad management (imho).

I got a shirt at the MacArthur opening. Woot! Was a huge line, luckily my friend and I got there an hour early.

Still not Apple Stores in South Carolina. I am waiting patiently . . .

I was at the store opening at the Smith Haven Mall, I arrived there at 7 AM and was 3rd in line! I didn't stay long, since the place was so crowded, but I live just two blocks away, so I went back around 12:30 and there was much less of a crowd.

I actually applied for a job as a part-time Mac Specialist there, but I haven't been hired yet (and the position isn't filled). Probably becausse they borrowed employees from the Walt Whitman store to make sure the opening went smoothly. I expect to be hired around the holiday season, just as long as Apple introduces a new iPod!

Noone covered the store opening at Sherway in Toronto? :( I got really hammered, my buddies called me at 9am (open was at 9:30) they were waiting since 6am, and were 13th / 14th in line. They said there were about 700 people in line, the line was so big it went outside the mall.
