Spyshot: Apple Store Tulsa
TUAW reader Ryan sent us a photo he snapped at the Woodland Hills Mall in Tulsa, OK, earlier this week. The photo clearly displays the word "Apple" in front of a store that's under construction. However, Ryan tells us that, since he took this photo, the temporary storefront has been painted black. We checked out the retail jobs listings for Oklahoma at Apple.com and sure enough Woodland Hills Mall in Tulsa is listed. Looks like you've got an Apple Store coming, Tulsa!

I am from Tulsa, and I am stoked.
However, that was pretty atrocious of the mall. o.O

Yay, another Apple location in for those of us in Oklahoma!
Sort-of off-topic but, I was wondering if anyone knew where we could leave Apple feedback on their customer support by phone.
I had a billing problem (more specifically: Apple.com said they couldn't authorize my credit card) and called support, got quick help, and the issue was the credit card company okayed the big purchase (the computer) but declined the seperate charge (shipping) for security purposes. So the guy went ahead and zeroed out the shipping and completed the order! Free overnite! ;)
Sure, it's logical as a company to scratch a 27.00 for a computer worth a few grand, but a lot of times these companies aren't logical, and I wanted to comment on the prompt support... but I can't for the life of me find a feedback for PHONE support.

Oh man! I hope that it is finally true! I have been waiting for this to happen for quite some time. The closest store to Tulsa is Oklahoma City which is a 2 hour drive. I did get to go to my company's Corporate office in Columbus, OH a couple times a year and I always make a trip to the Apple Store while I am there. It will be nice to finally have a Genius Bar close by for help, and such. WOOHOO! Man or Man!

Tulsa may be the newest store opening ahead of the iPhone debut. Can you imagine the line in the mall that day!? Holy smokes.
BTW, Tulsa's where I call home and it's fantastic "little" town. Largely forgotten, smack in the middle of the USofA. High tech without a doubt and access to good, inexpensive home-grown talent. Decent entertainment venues are springing up all over the place.
Apple did right by selecting Tulsa. We'll make em proud.

Damn - that sucks. My other half is from Tulsa and she is always on about moving back there, I've been using the lack of Apple Store as one of the excuses for not agreeing so there goes one of my excuses (too hot, tornados, too small, too close to Dallas are still valid though). Still nice to know there will be a store nearby if I ever end up there.

I saw that while I was in Tulsa this past week. I thought the font they used looked really weird. I wonder if that's why it was painted over.

I assume this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/camerasvoice/439099227/
is what everyone was expecting. Inside it's basically a shell at this point.

Nice and big, though. Bigger than my standalone store was, and about three times bigger than the Penn Square (OKC) Store.

Well, this is certainly good news - I'll be moving to Oklahoma soon, and I'll be only 24 hours from Tulsa.

Big deal, if it is anything like the one in OKC, they dont sell a tablet, which is the only next Mac I will ever buy, and the accessory line is very limited and way overpriced.
