The Apple Store is down... must be Tuesday.
Or is Dawn in trouble? I forget. Anyway, as noted by our loyal readers, the Apple Store site is down this morning (US only at the moment -- the UK store appears to still be up), sporting the Post-it note that strikes glee into the hearts of gear groupies far and wide. Is it new iMacs? A bagful of iPhone accessories? We will know shortly.Update: Doesn't appear that there were any changes to the product offerings... darn these maintenance outages that are actually for performing maintenance.
Thanks everyone who sent this in.

New iLife is my bet. This seems to be the only "major" thing that can be updated without Jobs himself talking about it. If that is not the case, then I think we will see some other "minor" updates (faster processors on some models and so on).
I only hope, for the ones who bought it, that Apple is not releasing an "update" to the iPhone as they did with the AppleTV (update just a week or two after release)....
Like a 10 or 15 Gb iPhone :-)
Usually when Apple only takes US and Canada stores down, they release some performance upgrade, that gets then released worldwide not much time after that.
PS- Swiss store is up and running fine. France and UK as well.

Maybe His Steveness was bored. He's reading all the comments on all the apple websites and laughing His Assness off.

Hmmm... it looks like there's loads of refurb machines, even PowerBook G4, but all those might have been there yesterday. And I don't think they'd take the site down to add refurbs, they never do.
Anyone else think it's a little sad that there isn't a single computer in the Top Sellers list on the Apple Store site? Unless you count the iPhone, and I don't.

Naaah, since I just got my new MacBook they'll probably up the speed or drop the price or both on those machines.
