Tuesday's Coming

In case you haven't noticed -- and thank you everyone who has written in to remind us -- Apple has been delivering at least one goody every single Tuesday since the start of the year. Of course, this Tuesday is the last one in February, which is quickly racing towards its leap-year enabled end. This is, of course, the day we've all been told would be the iPhone SDK day, but from what I'm hearing if it does show up Tuesday morning, it's going to be at best an alpha or beta release, with a full release likely either at WWDC or later.

This makes me wonder: when the Apple store goes down this Tuesday morning (yellow stickies!), what's going to be there when it comes back up?

Are your bets on a new iPhone? Or a MacBook Pro refresh? Let us know in the comments.

It's nothing. They will put up the stickies and then say "Sorry, just some maintenance"

I'm really hoping that the iPhone SDK will come out, but other then that I think the only new item you can count on is the new 2gig iPod Shuffle.

Time capsule was already announced so it won't be a Tuesday surprise. They would have to come up with something else for it to be a "new release" as they have been doing for weeks.

My bet is on "Needless post telling us the store is down" on Tuesday morning, followed by a "Okay, the store is back up and here's what we should have just waited to post about rather than go all OCD on the Apple Store link."

Just a hunch, mind you.

I am pretty sure that Apple is going to say something concerning the SDK on Tuesday... what is it? Well I don't know, but it could possibly be the delay people have been talking about.

i'd like to see updated mbp's, which i think is quite likely. new monitors are very probable as well. the cinema displays are really the only major product category that have yet to receive a bump in a while (not to mention a new-fangled scriptaculous subpage on the website).

Sorry man, this has been the case for YEARS now. Everyone always assumes that it is 'a lock.'

When the long overdue cinema refresh finally occurs its gonna be a WWDC or a Macworld, not some random Tuesday in February. A 32 gig phone? come on people, they have to keep the Touch at double the capacity to keep it as a viable product. I can assure you, that a 64Gig SSD is far too expensive to fit into a $500 price tag.

Tomorrow look for Time Capsule and the 2gig shuffle. Whoopdie friggin doo!
