Get a Mac, get a job
As the economy makes with the poop, we can all use a little bit of extra help finding work. Whether it's side projects, or full-time employment, there are plenty of jobs available for system administrators, programmers, and creative people -- all who use a Mac.
I've assembled a collection of sites and job boards that cater to those with a technical and creative skill set -- people who probably use a Mac. This is by no means a complete list, but should help anyone starting to look for work.
Comments consisting of "how could you dare possibly omit [insert name of board here]" will be met with resigned sighs from me, but cheers from our readers. So feel free to point people in the direction of boards that you've used or trusted before in comments.
Follow me across the jump for the list.

While working at an Apple Store, I used to get offers all the time from churches who need people to help out with the tech side of things.

Its funny...
Everyone's saying that the economy is so bad, but good for me, my parent's work (which I am an employee of) is doing the best ever... in 15 years!
I've been crazy busy on web stuff (on my mac of course)... its been great.
But i would like to get a job at an Apple store one day... maybe in college, the closest apple store from us is 2.5 hours in Albany...

Nice! Thanks, Robert!
BTW, I use my Mac to program ASP & ASP.NET websites and administer IIS and MS SQL Servers. Would that get me any points with potential clients?
Cheers,
FL

I'd say so. I've found (and many people have mentioned to me) that there is a very small intersection of Windows and Mac developers like you. Knowing both (and marketing your skills wisely) is sure to make you a mint.
Same is true with IT resources, know both, and suddenly every mixed environment is open to you.

Thanks for listing Aquent as a recruiting resource for creative and marketing professionals. As some of you may remember, we were called "MacTemps" when we started out 20 years ago.

Sweet! I didn't see a single job listed that fits what I do. (Photographic image manipulation/color correction)

All the photo retouching I do is usually part-and-parcel of a larger project that involves a photo shoot (which are becoming increasingly rare with more diverse stock photography and shrinking client budgets).
The two things I would recommend are either (a) befriending an agency who can routinely offer you retouching work or (b) befriend a photographer for the same. Or both.
Hope that helps!
