I am writing to complain about the Pop up ad that loaded over the whole screen and blocked me from viewing anything. That is ridiculous. TUAW has gone down hill and this is the last straw. I came to the site today to see some new toys from Apple, but instead I was assaulted by your ads. No longer will i come here to this site. I have enjoyed it for a long time, you can even see the numerous responses/comments I have posted as proof that I am not a troll as some who come in are.

Bloggers don't get paid diddly. I'd be for the ads if I thought some of it trickled to the writers, but I doubt it does.

Monk - If you are using Firefox, you need to be using Adblock Plus and NoScript. Those two add-ons make all the nasties on the web go away. No annoying banners, pop-ups, keyword adverts, what have you. Nice stuff.

I fear everything SJ has for us has been leaked. And without a $899 laptop the stock will be punished.
It would have been punished next week anyway. They'll beat the numbers for last quarter, but their forecast for this quarter won't be anywhere near enough to boost the stock.
Next chance for big gains is the lead-in to Macworld. When the tablet MIGHT be announced!

It is happening... Steve Jobs is slipping into his black turtleneck right now... grabbing his bottles of Smart Water out of his frige, and hitting in road in his Mercedes. I'm TOTALLY buying the new MacBook! I've been waiting for this moment for 2 months now!!

Wow. I'm like so not excited about this :)
Guys, Apple is refreshing and slightly redesigning their laptops. Several companies did this already this week :)
Most don't, you know, call a *press event* for such a thing, but really...that is what is going on.
Is this really worth anxiety and heat palpitations? :)
