Woz is set for his Dancing with the Stars debut

I stay away from reality television, and talent shows usually give me hives, but I just might have to tune in for this. Our favorite Chief Scientist strolling across the floor showing up the likes of David Allan Grier and Steve-o might be too much to miss. The series premiere airs March 9th.

I would like to state for the record there is no such thing as "reality" television. I refer first to the quantum world which is the basis for everything known as reality. It is a bizarre world way down in the tiny parts of the fabric of space time, but it's a fact that observing a particle alters the particle being observed. So is the case human beings; and Woz is one very big particle. If humans know they are being watched, they do not act real or in way they normally would not being observed.
And as with the quantum world, the notion of the Woz dancing is also truly bizarre. Live and let live.
In the early 80's, Woz channeled the personal computer. In 2009, it's the essence of kitsch. Whatever.

have you no respect for his creativity and his achievements? the dude is a giant, and we all are standing on his shoulders. i was honored to meet him the one time i did. i can't even *imagine* what my life would be like if he hadn't have come up with the apple computer.
It seems they have more in common than you might think:
"Smirnoff graduated from Fordham University with a double major in economics and information system programming."
This is a clever attempt to reach out to a new target market by reality TV. I wonder though, if it is in vain? Media viewership has been fragmented - mostly by people who are on their laptops either in place of TV, or surfing while "watching" a program. I find it amusing that DWTS thinks millions of web surfers are going to put down their laptops to watch the Woz dancing on TV. Well, we might half-watch. But at commercial time, its back to the computer.
On a side note - I wonder what this will do for Steve's and Apple's brand image? And for that matter - why is he doing this?
I met Woz at the Orlando airport last week and he told me about training for DWTS. He seemed kinda nervous about it.
