Steve looked healthier at iPad event

MacDailyNews points out that not many bloggers or journalists covered the issue of Steve's health at last week's Apple event, but I'd argue that it wasn't really a huge story -- the guy is doing his job, and while we definitely want to make sure he's healthy, his well-being is not really for us to judge. That said, they put a picture of Steve from last September up side by side with a pic from last week's event, and it's true that His Steveness does look a little more colorful. Given that he's probably not going to share much information with us about his health issues (which is completely his right, obviously), we're at least happy that it seems he's a little more hale.

Needless to say, we only hope he's feeling better, as Apple just isn't the same company without him. We do know he's personally invested in the iPad, if the rumors are to be believed, and so if this current run of work is helping him stay active and keep busy, I'll be extra happy to support it when the tablet finally reaches the shelves.

I was very pleased to see how Steve looked so much more robust. A liver transplant is super-major and he seems to be adapting to it with gusto. As for eating a lot of ice cream, that's not something a vegan does unless it's made with something other than cream.

Too bad he was still just as douchey as ever.

Sorry, 3.1.3 broke my jailbreak, and Apple stopped signing 3.1.2 yesterday, so of course that's when my 3Gs decides to glitch badly enough to require a restore. Lack of backgrounder has left me in a sour mood.

.....you're mad because you upgraded your phone to the newest firmware and it broke your jailbreak?

3.1.2 is available on LOTS of sites for download, there was no need to restore to 3.1.3.

That is why Saurik has his Cydia servers back up the signed blob file for each firmware revision for your device. If an exploit to jailbreak ever becomes available, you can use his servers to restore to older firmware and keep your jailbreak. You're ability to unlock, however, cannot be returned until a new exploit is found and implemented (if that's even possible anymore).

He did look healthier, but I actually thought his voice sounded weaker.

He was probably up the night before yelling at the CEO of McGraw-Hill on the phone. :)
