iTunes 10 quick tip: Liking a song in Ping

Here's a quick tip for iTunes that puzzled a few of us this morning: once you've gone ahead and set up Ping in iTunes 10, how do you 'like' a song instead of an album? The albums have those handy thumbs-up buttons, but it's not as obvious for songs.
A bit of exploration reveals that the 'Like' command is under the pop-up menu for each song, along with the other song-specific actions like gifting, sharing, wish-list-adding and the 'Other Versions' search.
We'll have more iTunes 10 tips and tricks coming right up.

I'm too busy to figure this out. I'm very surprised this isn't much simpler, and a no-brainer from my library... not from the store.

Now when you do that and hover above the album art work in the larger view, you can control music directly from the album art.

September 02 2010 at 5:49 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI don't see any way to do that from MY library of music rather than go into iTunes store... I see this not taking off, if there are extra steps to even bother using it. I don't live in the store, I look at MY music, much of it from CDs I buy. (where I retain the options to how it's compressed beyond CD quality)
this is not very Apple polished feeling, good thing it's version 1 of Ping, it's has lots of room to grow....
