Fans won’t have to wait much longer: Apple TV+ will launch the 10-episode fourth season of The Morning Show on 15 September, rolling out new chapters every Wednesday through 19 November. The story picks up two years after the season-three finale, promising a fresh newsroom landscape shaped by shifting alliances and higher stakes.
Star power in front of the camera
Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon reprise their lead roles as Alex Levy and Bradley Jackson, steering the network through another ratings storm. They are joined once again by Billy Crudup, Nicole Beharie and Mark Duplass, while newcomers Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons and Boyd Holbrook add extra wattage. Meanwhile, Jon Hamm’s fan-favorite tech mogul, Paul Marks, also returns.

Awards momentum drives buzz
Season three collected 16 Emmy nominations and earned Crudup both an Emmy and a Critics Choice Award for his razor-sharp portrayal of UBA CEO Cory Ellison. The critical haul, announced just months before the writers’ strike delayed pre-production, helped secure an early season-four renewal back in May 2023.
From strike delays to fall release
Despite the Hollywood shutdown, principal photography began in early 2024 and wrapped this year, keeping Apple’s prestige drama on track for its fall window. Producers say the time jump offered writers room to explore fresh ethical battles in modern media—echoing the Brian Stelter book that first inspired the series.
Why it matters
With legacy broadcasters under pressure from streaming giants, The Morning Show tackles questions about power, truth and survival inside a 24-hour news cycle. If season four matches the acclaim of its predecessor, Apple TV+ could tighten its grip on prestige drama just as awards season heats up.
