Lady Gaga fans will soon have a new way to experience the global superstar’s latest musical era. Apple Music will stream an exclusive filmed performance titled Mayhem Requiem on May 14, offering free access to viewers worldwide.
The special event marks another major collaboration between Apple and one of music’s most recognizable performers. This time, however, the company expands the experience beyond personal screens by bringing the event to select movie theaters across the United States.

Free Streaming Without a Subscription
The concert film premieres at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and 8:00 p.m. Pacific through Apple Music. Fans can watch using the Apple Music app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, or directly through a web browser. Notably, Apple confirmed that no Apple Music subscription is required for the live premiere.
That move lowers the barrier for casual listeners and broadens the event’s reach. While many streaming exclusives sit behind subscription walls, this release invites a wider audience.
Subscribers still receive an added benefit. Apple Music members can replay the performance on demand after the initial broadcast ends.
The Theater Experience Adds Extra Appeal
Apple is also bringing Mayhem Requiem to 15 select AMC theaters across the United States. The simultaneous cinema screenings give fans a communal viewing experience that mirrors a traditional concert atmosphere.
Still, despite the presentation style, the performance is not truly live. Reports indicate the production was recorded earlier this year at Los Angeles’ Walter Theater.
Apple describes the event as a dramatic continuation of Gaga’s Mayhem era, framing it as a musical reinterpretation of her sixth studio album.
Bonus Content for Dedicated Fans
The release extends beyond the performance itself. Apple Music plans to make a live album version available with Spatial Audio support, enhancing immersion for listeners using compatible devices.
Meanwhile, fans can unlock digital extras through Shazam by identifying any Lady Gaga song. These bonuses include wallpapers and Apple Watch faces, adding another layer of engagement.
Apple Strengthens Its Entertainment Push
The event highlights Apple’s broader strategy of blending music, technology, and exclusive experiences. For Gaga fans, it offers a special event. For Apple, it reinforces its growing influence in digital entertainment.
