Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 lineup will be among the first major launches during Ternus’ tenure as CEO. However, much of its development began well before his appointment. Likewise, several highly anticipated products reportedly targeted for 2027, including a foldable iPhone and AirPods with integrated cameras, are already progressing through testing.

As a result, products designed entirely under Ternus’ leadership may not reach consumers for another few years.

Nevertheless, his commitment to keeping design at the heart of Apple’s identity signals continuity rather than disruption. If his vision succeeds, Apple could continue strengthening the design-driven approach that has defined the company for generations while preparing for its next era of innovation.
