Fresh reports suggest Samsung Display will manufacture the OLED screens for Apple’s first foldable iPhone. The company is also rumored to supply displays for a future touchscreen MacBook Pro. If the reports prove accurate, Samsung will strengthen its position as one of Apple’s key display partners.
Apple is expected to introduce its first foldable iPhone in 2026. The device would mark the company’s entry into the foldable smartphone market after years of speculation. Although Apple has not confirmed its plans, supply chain reports continue to point toward an upcoming launch.
Production Plans Continue to Surface
According to the latest report, Samsung Display could produce around 10 million OLED panels for the foldable iPhone. The company may also manufacture displays for a future OLED iPad mini. Meanwhile, production for OLED MacBook Pro panels could begin after Samsung’s next-generation manufacturing line becomes operational.
The report also claims Samsung has already started producing displays for Apple’s future premium iPhone models. However, production for the foldable iPhone display is expected to begin later.
Rumors Follow Earlier Reports
This is not the first time Samsung has been linked to Apple’s foldable device. Similar reports have appeared since 2025. Earlier claims also suggested Samsung would provide OLED panels for Apple’s first touchscreen MacBook Pro.

LG and BOE Also Feature in the Supply Chain
The report also mentions other display suppliers. LG Display is expected to manufacture panels for the Apple Watch Series 12. Meanwhile, Chinese display maker BOE reportedly will not supply screens for the foldable iPhone or several upcoming premium Apple devices.
Although these claims remain unconfirmed, they offer another look at Apple’s possible supply chain strategy. Apple has not commented on the reports. Therefore, the information should be viewed as industry speculation until the company officially announces its future products.
