The capsule will remain sealed until 2276, when the United States marks its 500th anniversary.
The capsule reportedly weighs around 900 pounds and was buried in Philadelphia on July 4, 2026. Its contents aim to capture a snapshot of life in the modern era for people living 250 years from now.
Will the iPhone Still Work?
