Apple has released the third developer beta of iOS 27. The update introduces new Siri AI improvements and several interface refinements. Although it does not add many major features, it continues Apple’s work ahead of the public release later this year.

The new beta arrives about two weeks after iOS 27 beta 2. Earlier releases introduced Apple’s redesigned Siri AI. They also added improvements to the Home and Wallet apps. This version focuses on polishing the overall experience.

Siri Gets More Natural Voice Controls

The biggest addition is expanded voice customization for Siri AI. Eligible users can now adjust Siri’s speaking pace and expressiveness through new controls in Settings. These options make Siri sound more natural and personal.

However, Apple limits the feature to devices with the A19 Pro chip and at least 12GB of RAM. Therefore, only the iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max currently support it.

Apple also updated Siri’s animation. A brighter glow now appears beneath the Siri bubble during interactions.

Small Changes Across the System

Apple included several smaller improvements throughout iOS 27. For example, it renamed the “Indexing” message in Settings to “Optimizing Search and Siri.” The Camera app now explains that Siri Mode requires Siri AI.

The Reminders app icon also features darker bullet points. Meanwhile, macOS Golden Gate beta 3 adds a new wallpaper showcasing California’s Golden Gate Bridge.

Most Users Should Wait

Although the update improves the experience, iOS 27 beta 3 remains a developer release. Apple warns that beta software may contain bugs, crashes, or unfinished features. Therefore, users should avoid installing it on their primary devices.

Many testers must also download the complete Siri AI model again after updating. Some users even return to a waitlist before regaining access to AI features.

Even so, the latest beta shows Apple steadily refining Siri AI. More updates are expected before the official iOS 27 launch later this year.
