Apple is expanding its immersive entertainment lineup by bringing live Major League Baseball games to Apple Vision Pro users. The company has partnered with Major League Baseball (MLB) to stream selected Friday Night Baseball matchups in Apple Immersive Video. As a result, fans in the United States and several international markets will soon enjoy a more engaging way to watch live baseball.

The announcement also addresses criticism that Apple has offered too little immersive content. Now, the company aims to showcase the Vision Pro’s capabilities through live sports, one of the most popular forms of entertainment.

8K 3D Video Brings Fans Closer to the Action

Apple says the broadcasts will use 8K 3D video with a 180-degree field of view. Consequently, viewers can experience games from unique camera angles that place them near the action. Fans will witness dramatic at-bats, dugout celebrations, and exciting plays with a stronger sense of presence than traditional broadcasts provide.

The immersive broadcasts will also include exclusive commentary, dedicated replays, and floating graphics that display team lineups and live statistics. In addition, Spatial Audio and stadium ambience will continue during breaks, helping recreate the feeling of attending a game in person.

Games Reach More International Viewers

Apple and MLB have announced several games scheduled between late August and mid-September 2026. Moreover, immersive streams will be available through the Apple TV app on Apple Vision Pro in the United States, Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom.

This wider rollout reflects Apple’s effort to make premium sports content available across multiple regions while highlighting the global appeal of baseball.

Apple Continues Investing in Immersive Sports

The MLB broadcasts follow Apple’s earlier immersive coverage of an NBA game in early 2026. However, the new baseball broadcasts will use a different production approach than the company’s previous immersive soccer event.

As Apple expands its immersive video catalog, live sports could become a major attraction for Vision Pro owners. If successful, the initiative may encourage more leagues and broadcasters to embrace immersive viewing technology, giving fans an entirely new way to experience live events.
