Apple may keep the next Apple TV 4K looking familiar while making major changes inside. A newly surfaced image reportedly shows the upcoming device using the same compact black-box design as the current model.
The existing Apple TV 4K arrived in October 2022 with an A15 Bionic chip and 4GB of RAM. However, previous reports point to substantial performance upgrades for its successor.
Familiar Design, Bigger Changes Inside
The leaked image suggests Apple has chosen evolution rather than a major exterior redesign. Therefore, the most important changes could appear beneath the casing.
Previous rumors suggest Apple will equip the new model with the A20 Pro chip found in the iPhone 18 Pro. That processor could deliver a significant boost for gaming and demanding apps.
Moreover, Apple may double the device’s memory from 4GB to 8GB. Together, those upgrades could make Apple TV 4K a more capable entertainment and gaming platform.
Siri AI Could Reach Apple TV
More processing power could also help Apple bring Siri AI to the television for the first time. According to the report, users could ask Siri questions, find content, and launch apps more reliably.
Meanwhile, connectivity may receive a major upgrade. Apple’s N1 chip reportedly will add Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 support.
As a result, the device could offer faster wireless performance and stronger connections with accessories. The report also points to a revised Siri Remote accompanying the new hardware.
Fall Launch Expected, but Price Remains Unknown
The appearance of a hardware image may indicate that Apple is moving closer to launch. The report says observers already expected the next Apple TV 4K sometime this fall.
However, Apple has not revealed pricing for the rumored model. The company raised the current Apple TV 4K price to $199 in June 2026.
For now, the leaked design suggests Apple may focus less on appearance and more on performance, AI, gaming, and connectivity.
