Apple Music appears ready for a significant visual refresh after more than a decade. Apple’s latest developer software reveals a redesigned logo for the streaming service, featuring thicker and wider lettering.

The change marks the first Apple Music logo redesign since the service launched 11 years ago. Developers spotted the new branding in macOS 27.2 beta 3, while iOS 27.2 beta 3 also contains the updated design.

Apple Music Adopts a Bolder Look

The refreshed logo keeps the familiar Apple symbol but changes the appearance of the word “Music.” Apple now presents the name entirely in lowercase letters with a much heavier typeface.

As a result, the new logo looks wider and more prominent than the previous version. The stronger font gives the branding a noticeably different visual weight.

The image on page one of the source shows the new white logo against a red background. Its rounded, bold lettering creates a simpler and more modern appearance than the older design.

Meanwhile, evidence from iOS 27.2 beta 3 supports the same branding change. A social media post cited in the document also shows the updated Apple Music identity in the beta software.

New Branding Already Appears Beyond Beta Software

Although developers discovered the redesign in beta releases, Apple has already used it elsewhere. The new logo appeared in promotional material for Apple Music Hall in London.

Interestingly, the venue’s video trailer included both the updated logo and the older version. That suggests Apple may still be transitioning between the two designs across its services and marketing materials.

A Fresh Identity for Apple Music

The redesign arrives as Apple Music continues to position itself as a modern streaming platform. The source notes that its younger audience gives the service a clear reason to refresh its visual identity.
