Rumoured iPhone = Motorola V635?

If this is true, it could explain why Apple is gobbling up flash memory from Toshiba. Or maybe we’re all in for a huge treat when Steve Jobs announces both the iPhone *and* the flash-based iPod?

i don't think this has anything to do with Apple buying flash memory from Toshiba. this phone uses Transflash, which i believe is a format created by SanDisk. and according to a press release, SanDisk uses their own NAND MLC flash memory and controller, so i don't think they would switch to Toshiba-made flash NAND chips (if that's even technically possible). and if they did, why would Apple buy the chips? i wouldn't think Apple would be making their own Transflash cards, or sending the chips to SanDisk...? it just doesn't make sense. ahhh...but i guess we'll find out a lot more next week, won't we?
