CherryOS gets air time on cable
TechTV was a guilty pleasure of mine before Comcast bought it, fired pretty much everyone and then turned it into
G4tv - which I find mostly unwatchable.
But tonight I’ll be watching. Although the CherryOS website still says
that it is “On Hold - until further notice,”
Attack of the Show
will be featuring how to “run Mac OSX on a PC using
PearPC CherryOS” on this evening’s show.
Coincidentally, they’ll also be checking out “some inventions from prison” which may very well be where the shysters
behind the blatant PearPC ripoff can be found next.
You can tune in to the spectacle tonight at 7pm ET (4pm PT) - or set your TiVo to grab one of the 4 re-airings: 12am,
3am, or 12pm ET on Apr 7th or 12am on Apr 10th.

April 06 2005 at 10:21 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyLaurie, you're right. I read a few places that said that they didn't expect the show to comment on the way CherryOS compares to PearPC; it seemed as though, even after reading the shows description, that they were going to showcase this 'new technology', but yes, and after reading these things and getting frustrated at not being able to find the show's contact information, I read this article here, and replied the way I did. Did anyone watch the show? Did they mention PearPC?

Now it's pretty much an abomination unto technology. I actually downgraded my satellite subscription to have the network removed so I wouldn't be reminded of how bad it is.

April 06 2005 at 2:27 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyDoes anyone know of a way to contact the show and complain about them airing this without talking about how it's really PearPC. Such garbage.
