Sony Plugs Vaio with Powerbook
Looks like Sony's ad firm isn't too familiar with the Vaio line, in fact they thought that a dude using a Powerbook would be the perfect image to announce the new Vaio.
We all know Sony wants to be like Apple, but this is just ridiculous.

It looks like a Vaio S Series to me. :P It does look strikingly like a powerbook from that shot though; it just makes it all the funnier that Sony's slogan on their site is "Like No Other". ;)

Hee hee hee! At a bus stop near my house there was an advert for Athlon featuring a PowerBook. Made me growl with brooding rage every time I walked past it.
"That laptop doesn't have Athlon Inside, it's an Apple!" I occasionally yelled.
"Please stop that, you scare my children." came the occasional reply.
Great times.

SpacePirate, that discussion was thoroughly run through on Engadget. Someone dug up a link to the source image that was used, which when you zoomed in clearly revealed that it is indeed a TiBook running OS 9. They darkened the screen on this one so that you can't see what it's running as clearly.

Wow, I stand corrected... I suppose it's not surprising, at this low resolution, it's pretty easy to make that mistake. I also now notice they smeared the power button, but using the aforementioned source, it's pretty easy to see it's an old TiBook...
