"Screw the nano" says Motorola

nano shadows rokrSounds like Ed Zander, Motola's CEO, might be a little sore at the less-than-stellar reception their über-delayed iTunes phone has met, as he's on record in a recent interview saying "screw the nano." He goes on to claim savvy users across the world are going to want a phone with more advanced features - which I would tend to agree with, but I also have a question for dear Mr. Zander: are you really trying to pass a phone that barely works and only holds 100 songs as 'advanced?'

Let's also not forget his "who listens to 1,000 songs" question betrays the possibility that Zander doesn't seem to read the news, turn on his TV, surf the Internets, or listen to music himself.

Check out the Infoworld article with more details from the interview, and I guess anyone with more than 1,000 - or even 100 - songs in their collection had better start whittling down their library if they want to achieve Zander's definition of 'advanced.'
