Do developers ever sleep? The folks at the Mozilla organization have made Firefox 1.5 beta 2 available for download. The website states that this release is for "...early adopter community, Web site and Web application developers, and our Extension developers." If that's you, go and grab your copy. This release features improvements to the automated update system, web site rendering and performance and several security fixes. To get an instant map to any address, just go to your Address Book and right click on the address field of any one of your contacts and select "Map Of." The address will then be revealed in Google Maps on Safari. You can do the same if a data detector determines there is an address in an e-mail in Mail.

I've been using Beta1 because it's a ton faster. Yippie for improvements!

So, does this version fix the focus and keyboard wonkiness? Like for instance, just now, I was typing this, and suddenly Firefox decided that the ' key was the trigger for find.
The focus problem comes randomly too. What happens is I'll be working and suddenly the current tab will cease to respond to keyboard input. I'll switch to another tab and THAT was the one I was controlling.
Very annoying. I was planning on stepping back to the latest non-beta release, but if b2 fixes the problem, I'll just use that.
