TUAW poll: What TV shows do you want?
TVSquad asked a great question related to iTMS video that I thought would be perfect for you TUAW readers: Which shows are missing from the iTMS? Are you a Battlestar Galactica fan? Or perhaps you'd enjoy All My Children all the more if you could watch it on your iPod during a morning commute? I myself am a big comedy fan, so I'd love to see stuff from Comedy Central and Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block. But enough about me, I pose the question to you: what shows are you waiting to see in the iTMS? Please keep the "forget iTunes, hello BitTorrent!" comments for another post.

I would love to see The Daily Show make it into the store. That is probably the only show I would pay $1.99 every day for.

I would buy season 2.0 of BSG on iTunes for $20, rather than the $49.99 Universal plans to charge for the mid-season DVD set.

I want shows that I can actually buy. At the moment there's no such service for European iTunes Music Store users, grrr.

I see this as a great opportunity for shows in bad timeslots to get additional exposure. CBS should be chomping at the bit to get, for example, NUMB3RS on there. And UPN could push something like EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS. These are programs that have great buzz and critical acclaim, but low visibility due to their timeslot. CHRIS, granted, has eclipsed JOEY on an airing or two, but NUMB3RS is stuck on Friday night--you just can't build a big audience then.

Older TV shows that appear infrequently on cable, like Moonlighting, Hill Street Blues, Twin Peaks, The Prisoner, etc.
Instant new revenue stream for the networks.

Simpsons and Will & Grace to start. Since they are 1/2 hr shows, I would only pay 1/2 the full-hour price, 99 cents per episode.

I'd subscribe to The Daily Show in an instant. I'd buy old episodes of ST:TNG (Darmok :). Newsradio was greatly under-appreciated. Specific SNL skits, searchable by content or actor and sold as "albums" would be amazing -- the Sprockets collection!

Big up to The Daily Show and Twin Peaks. And speaking of UPN, Veronica Mars. I would SO buy every episode.

I definitely second Mythbusters from Discovery. Here's my list:
Mythbusters - Discovery
Rides - TLC
Overhaulin' - TLC
My Name is Earl - ABC
No Reservations - Travel
Penn & Teller-Bullshit! - Showtime
So basically, I want Apple to strike a deal with Discovery Networks (in association with BBC) since almost everything I watch is either on ABC or a Discovery network. And I don't actually subscribe to Showtime, but Bullshit! is such a great show I've been debating it for a while. If it were offered on the iTMS, I'd just download it.

I would love to see shows like the Daily show, but since there are so many and most people would only watch them once, there should be some kind of subscription model like they have for podcasts, but maybe pay a flat fee? I know most people are going to buy TV shows then get upset once the DVD comes out, so I think "renting" shows would be better.
But we all know how Steve feels about that.

The Simpsons, but I want better quality than they currently offer.
Wait a sec, 17 seasons of about 25 shows per season, at euro 1.99 per piece. That makes euro 845. WOW. On second thought, maybe they should just hold off with The Simpsons for now.

Apple should join forces with the BBC - Dr Who for a start off would fly off the shelves.
