Apple has introduced colorful new wallpapers to macOS with the latest macOS 26.4 beta 4 update. The designs originally debuted with the newly announced MacBook Neo. However, Apple has now made them available to all Mac users running the latest beta version of macOS Tahoe.
The update allows users to personalize their desktops with vibrant graphics inspired by Apple’s newest budget laptop.

Inspired by the MacBook Neo Design
Apple announced the MacBook Neo earlier in March as a colorful and affordable Mac powered by an iPhone chip. The laptop comes in four bright color options: Blush, Citrus, Indigo, and Silver. Each color includes a matching wallpaper designed to highlight the device’s playful aesthetic.
Previously, these wallpapers appeared only on the MacBook Neo itself. Now, macOS 26.4 beta 4 expands access so that any compatible Mac can use them.
The wallpapers follow Apple’s modern design style. They feature a colorful bubble pattern that subtly forms the word “Mac.” Apple often includes stylized text within its marketing wallpapers, and this release continues that trend.
How Users Can Access the New Wallpapers
Users running macOS Tahoe 26.4 beta 4 can easily enable the new designs through System Settings. First, open the Wallpaper section inside the Settings menu. Then scroll through the Pictures category to locate the new MacBook Neo wallpapers.
The collection includes several vibrant color themes. Options such as Mac Purple, Mac Blue, Mac Pink, and Mac Yellow bring bright visual styles to the desktop.
Because the designs match the MacBook Neo’s color palette, they help extend Apple’s branding across its wider Mac lineup.
Additional Features in macOS 26.4 Beta
The latest beta update includes more than just wallpapers. Apple also added eight new emoji characters. These include a distorted face, an orca, and even Bigfoot.
Meanwhile, internal versions of macOS 26.4 also show support for upcoming hardware. Reports suggest the software already supports unreleased M5 and M5 Pro chips for the Mac mini, along with new Mac Studio models.
Apple continues testing macOS 26.4 in beta form. The company is expected to release the final version publicly in spring 2026. Until then, beta testers can explore the new visuals and features while Apple refines the update.
