Free NASCAR preview in the iTunes Store
Attention,
race fans (NASCAR in particular). There is a free, 20 minute preview of the upcoming Daytona 500 in the iTunes Store*
[link]. Watch interviews with
drivers, check out clips of 2006 "test cars" as well as never-before-seen archival footage. Did I mention it's
free?The interesting thing to note here is that the clip is categorized under the heading NASCAR 2006 Races, which implies that more videos will be added as the season progresses.
*Can we drop the "music" now? iTunes ceased to be exclusively a music store a while ago.

Some of the users over at digg.com don’t seem to find this story valuable.

They should just rename the iTunes Music Store the 'iTunes Media Store' - that way we can still just refer to it as the iTMS.
BTW: I pray that this means soon we'll be able to download 'Six Pack' starring Kenny Rogers as a gruff but lovable itinerant race car driver who adopts a group of charming little rascals to serve as his pit crew and due to their enthusiasm and incredible mechanical know-how, help him begin to make a name for himself on the racing circuit.

Great news! I always thought Steve Jobs was a closet NASCAR freak.
Perhaps this news was Steve's "One more thing..." aborted January intro? The Mac user base will really enjoy modding their notebooks & iMacs with this stuff;

Imagine the co-branding opportunities; Apple Genius bars turn into "Steve's Pit Stop". Mac's ubiquitous boot chime is replaced with the sound of a snarling 700Hp NASCAR engine. The MacMini becomes a NASCAR game console...
Me? I'm holding out for the Hooter's Racing Team "skins"!

#4, you've got to be kidding. Seriously. NASCAR? Ack. You're not missing anything unless you consider stuff like counting sheep a "sport."
