Free Pilot of NBC's Conviction on iTMS
To promote
their new show about the cases and lives of NY Assistant District Attorneys, NBC is offering the pilot episode of
Conviction as a free download from the iTMS [direct iTMS link]. There's also
a free music video by The Gabe Dixon Band and a free behind-the-scenes I wish there were a show called Anarchy & Chaos.... that's a show I'd watch.

I hope this helps NBC realize that the downloading base is much bigger than the people actually downloading (aka more people download the free pilot than buy the shows). Thay way they will realize that 1.99 is way too high for something that can be tivo'd along with hundreds of other shows for under $20 a month. or free with torrents.

The best part about this download is how the iTunes dirty word filter turned L&O creator Dick Wolf into "D**k Wolf." Nyuk nyuk nyuk.

I was very impressed with the show. I saw a promo for it on tv the other day and it looked interesting. I'm glad they're deciding to try new things with TV shows. Hopefully others will come along.

I'm with some of the others, I hope NBC realizes the potential as well as other networks but $1.99 is too steep. I even think 0.99 is too much for a song where the overhead is nearly nonexistant. Especially when I can go into a used cd store and buy the disc for at the most $10.
I'd also like to see them advertise Apple Lossless albums as well as I'm told artists can have them uploaded and sold in that format.
