PS3Fanboy has its debut

Is there really life beyond our Macs? Well, I guess I could find something else to occupy my time if pressed...like obsess over the (elusive) Playstation 3. Please welcome PS3 Fanboy to our big, happy Weblogs, Inc. family. Consider the site your one-stop source for all things PS3. There are some great posts up already, like this great collection of screenshots, an Xbox Live vs. PSNetwork showdown and a report from GDC.

All I want to know is, does Sony plan to ever ship this thing? My Playstation 2 is getting a little long in the tooth.

More than anything, I'm perplexed as to why it would be called "PS3fanboy", considering it has a reasonably negative connotation.

If Apple was still using PowerPCs you wouldn't be that upset. Think of it as the Quad G5 PowerMac's long lost relative.

If IBM can put CELL in a blade server, it could have been used in a Mac with some tinkering by IBM and Apple.

My computers, Apple.

My TVs, Sony.

My video games, Nintendo.

It's that simple.

I hope soon your web family will create a blog where one can obsess not over the PS3, but that wallaby killer sitting in front of it there.

Boo for cross-network blogvertising (did I just make a new word?) that has absolutely nothing to do with the subject at hand. Engadget I can stand promoting PS3F, Joystiq certainly can, but TUAW? Come on.
