TUAW Poll: Would you buy a black MacBook?

I think that the black iBook, I mean MacBook it's extremely ugly, it looks like an old fashioned PC. When I thought about a black MacBook I was expecting something like the glossy easy-scratching ibook but in black! or a better keyboard, like the one that the ibook had but in black! that would be nice. Another thing, the glossy screen does make the image brighter, but, I don't know, I just don't like looking to myself when looking at the screen. I still love my MBP!!

When i see the black macbook i am discusted. It looks like those old dell laptops. the black one looks just like another crapy windows machine in the croud. How oculd u guys think that it is beautiful. What happned to the apple design the white one. and wat is up with that keyboard. WTF apple i am disapointed with the black version.

Just hit [buy]. I would much prefer a aluminum macbookpro 13" but it seems it's not coming.. Bhaa I hate that macbook keyboard already.

not obsolete, check all other specs, screen, graphics ports etc... all out do the new macbook. by the way, the black is ugly and not apple like........

You left off the most important poll answer: Yes if it didn't cost an extra $150 just for black plastic. See how scratched up my iBook G4 is a little less than two years out though I bet the black would really look like crap after that long. But I think I would still get black so I could participate in the case action lawsuit ;) (as long as the price was the same).

I would buy it if it did not have the glossy display and I didn't have the MacBook Pro...

IMO that thing is incredibly ugly. I haven't liked a single picture I've seen. The white one's ok, I always liked my iBook.

Also I'm upset that my 2 week old MBP is now obsolete because it's only 2.0ghz without a glossy screen.

If Apple would add some chrome "accents", flashing idiot lights, "Intel Inside" sticker, "Core-Duo" sticker, "WindowsXP Home/BootCamp" sticker, "JBL Audio" sticker, "RealAudio" sticker, "Free Norton AntiVirus/Popup/Spyware" sticker, ......... it'll look like the crap I switched from three years ago.

A black case is giving me some really bad flashbacks.

The U2 iPod sold well. The black MacBook will too. Some people will pay a premium for a hot new cell phone rather than wait for a few months for the price to drop.

I would have ordered a black one had I not bought a MacBook Pro a few weeks ago. Let's just say I'm a little peeved at spending twice as much for basically the same speed.
