Rig of the Day: Hand me that screwdriver

How do you ensure that your kids will grow up to be Mac addicts? Start them early. This kid is well on his way (though his work methods still seem a bit crude).

This isnt so much a rig as it is a child playing in a box near an old power mac and quite frankly with all the small parts in there that could easily be swallowed and result in death I am shocked that the person thought this would be a good time to grab the camera rather than stop the child from getting involved in what could easily turn into a fatal situation.
Im sure if that child died then their "rig" would not be publicised as such and parents may think twice about keeping an eye on their children. What if no one had been around? I could be reading about this on CNN rather then TUAW. lol j/k

Daniel: You are right we have to very carefull with little kids. How ever, this kid is my only one, my treasure and be sure, I really keep eye on him. There are no small particles, electricity, no chemicals. I was watching him all the time or his mother did. If interested, look at more photos at http://www.ccc.cz/mates

Hey, that's the thing about survival. You gotta let kids get into stuff if you want them to be strong. When I was a brat, I used to play with the oven. That is much more dangerous than playing with a Mac.
About the choking hazard, When I was a little older than above, I once got a jaw breaker lodged in my throat when I was home alone. My mother wasn't going to be home for hours that day. I had a choice, I could panic and choke to death or I could simply swallow the Jaw Breaker. Guess which option I picked.
My whole childhood life is a series of being shocked by electrical outlets, burning myself, almost drowning and accedentally causing things to explode. If I can make it, anyone can.

My cat does a lot of that on my PowerBook, and has several times tried writing scripts (I didn't even have the editor open at either time) .... no luck getting the syntax yet!
