The Omni Group hints at new product

The Omni Group has begun hinting at a new product on their blog by offering clues on their blog as to what it is not. In posts like A trickling of inklings, they have let us know things like the product's sub-$20 price, that it is not a replacement for Mail and that it has nothing to do with the iPod. They also have plainly stated that they have other new products and updates for existing products planned for 2006. This should be good news for those of you who (like me) are fans of their excellent offerings like

I like to think of Omni as the Bungie of office applications. Cool company, funny blog, great products.
Here's a crazy idea. Apple buys Omni and gives them tons of money to turn Apple Works into OmniWorks. I can't even begin to imagine how awesome an Omni Group designed office suite would be. I know, never happen, but I can dream.

Great idea Geoff, Omni is a good company to work with (support), great products. I just wish I used them (graffle and outliner) more.

My guess for the new product is a Project Management Application. I doubt this is it, but would be nice.

Apple almost admits as much already - they bundle OmniGraffle and OmniOutliner with some if not all Macs. If Omni made a word processor and spreadsheet maybe Apple would bundle those too, and then hey presto, its an Omni office suite!
