Happy iCal Day
Several people emailed us to make sure we noted that today is that most special day: iCal day! That's right, today is the date that is featured on iCal's icon by default, so that means when you launch iCal today the icon won't change. Freaky, huh? Also, 51 years ago today Disneyland opened. Coincidence? I think not.
So, dear readers, how are you going to celebrate iCal day?

Ah, but it does - the static icon is very slightly different in the position of both month and date than the dynamically-generated one. Try it and see.

Don't forget, it's David Hasselhoff's birthday too. Coincidence? I hope so!

"Also, 55 years ago today Disneyland opened. "
Disneyland opened in 1955. Which would be 51 years ago according to my iCal...

I celebrated my birthday at home with my dearest family; and I'm to tell the world of Mac users that you would easily remember my birthday always when you start up your computer! :-)

Well, I would say I'm going to Disneyland, but I did that last Sunday.
I guess I could open iCal today, since I don't use it. Make it feel important for the day.

Well, it's 1:25AM on the 18th of July where I live, so I'm going to spend post-iCal day moping and feeling sorry for myself, because I didn't even notice!
Gees, good one :-(

Isn't iCal day July 17th because that was the date it was released in 2002?

Well since today is also my birthday today I'm going out on the town.
Just me, iCal, a bevy of gorgeous women and a lot of beers. It's
gonna be some night.
To be honest I always thought iCal displayed July 17th because it was my birthday. I assumed that at some point I had inputed my birthday during registration and so iCal used that. I had no idea it was a universal thing. So now you have no excuse for forgetting my birthday next year.
Cheers
