Is anyone else as tired about iPhone rumors as I am? No?
Ah, in that case check out this post over at Engadget. It seems that a photographer who is regularly hired by Apple to take marketing shots (though probably not so much anymore) told his friend that he just took some shots of the sexiest phone he had ever seen. The interesting bits? It is set for an August launch and it is made by those wacky people up in Cupertino (that's Apple, folks).
Will Apple launch the iPhone at WWDC? I'm not a betting man, but if I were I would bet against it. However, I said the same thing about Intel chips and we all know what happened there.

I'd bet against it being announced at WWDC as well, unless there's some significant developer input for it, like an SDK.... More than there is for the iPod...

If Apple launches a phone, i will be the first one in line to grab one. I'm almost 100% sure that this iphone is going to be sexier then the Razr.

#2 - you'll be behind me ;P
actually i wouldn't buy it site unseen, apple kool aid drinker though i may be, there have been some klunkers in their day. i doubt something as important as the iphone would be an example of this, but still.
if it's elegant & beautiful and has a wickedly simple, gorgeous UI that integrates with the entire ilife suite — i'll certainly try to be first in line, but i suspect there will be hundreds if not thousands ahead of me. so many people i know who don't use apple products at all ask me when the iphone is coming. i think there's a huge market out there for a cell phone whose primary purpose is making calls.

The mobile handset market is soooo huge. And Apple has such a strong brand and powerful distribution that it only needs a product that doesn't totally suck to make at least $100m in the first year.
It's such an obvious extension and there's so much money on the table just waiting for them.

BJ,
The picture is a screenshot from a concept video made by an Apple fan. I think TUAW published an article about the homemade video a while back, but I can't find it.

No offense, but I could care less about an iPhone. I buy apple computers, not apple phones. all that happens to my cell phones are massive drops, incursion of scratches, and the like. How about focusing r and d on making laptops that don't turn yellow and burn your crotch off?
