Wireless eMate

Newton users, they are a crafty bunch. Nevermind the fact that Apple killed the Newton years ago, that doesn't stop the enthusiasts from tricking out their PDA of choice. The latest Newton 'hack' comes in the form of adding a WiFi card to an eMate.
What will Newton users do next?

Latest? The WiFi drivers have been around for a few years. I had mine wireless last year when I was fooling with it.

Yeah I also had a wireless eMate 2 years ago using a common wireless card and a little driver writing. With help from the amazing Newton community!
Hang in there. WWDC is around the corner and we should have some real Apple news soon.

I have to say that the WiFi eMate is pretty pimp. Does the eMate have a web browser? or do you have to use some clunky old Palm WAP browser or something?

Uhh, we've been playing with wireless drivers at local MUG meeting. We had 2 eMates and 2 2100s there...the most questioned devices there :)

well... it isn't the latest, like said, it's been around for years and actually hardly a hack :D I just wanted to try this out badly and wrote down how someone can do such a thing, assuming that you get an eMate and WLAN-card from eBay or such. :-)
I could use the same card (I bough a couple of them) I just put in my iBook as a DIY-Airport:

...and if you're looking for a first ... I did also hand-crank-charge this eMate earlier on :D :

...and I've got some plans where to go from here with this marvelous little machine.
