First 3 My Dream App finalists announced

Out of the 2,761 submitted ideas the final 24 contestants have been picked in My Dream App. Of course we won't find out all the finalists at once, no Phill Ryu is too much of a showman for that. Instead he tempts us with the first three:
- Herald - an RSS reader (lord knows we need another one of those) that uses the newspaper as a visual metaphor. The twist is that user would be able to share and publish their subscriptions in a variety of ways.
- Stick-It - think Stickies on steroids. You'll be able to stick notes on applications, windows, anything.
- Desktop Wars - a real time strategy game that transforms your desktop into a war zone complete with voice, mouse, and motion interaction.

BORING.
Was there just no real interest or was this really the best anyone had to offer?
Damn I was writing an app similar to this Herald that you speak of! Nevermind, I guess i'll just buy it.

I saw plenty of good ideas in the contest, so how did this make it to finalist?
Was this called "My Dream Crap"? Or did no one enter?
Sync stuff is the best. Was there not a single soul who enter a sync app?
Boy, how pedestrian. I was hoping for something a little more creative given the context of the contest. Oh well.

Lot's of us are using more than 1 computer these days, & I can't wait until someone comes out with something like this.
Add to that syncing your favourite RSS reader (read news atricles, unread news articles, feeds added etc.)
Amen to that Dave!
