Found Footage: The Woz sells the Datsun 280z
The Woz always makes me smile, and his turn in this Datsun commercial is no different. Watch and find out why the Woz prefers the Z, and how his voice goes down many octaves when he is enthusiastic.

That's probably the most persuasive car commercial I've seen in my entire life.
Of course, Murphy's Law states that it had to be for a car company which (in name) no longer exists.

As you could see from the slogan card at the end of the ad, it said "A product of Nissan."
"Of course, Murphy's Law states that it had to be for a car company which (in name) no longer exists."
The company still exists. It started out as DAT (an acronym for the first letters of the last names of the founders) then DATSON (SON of DAT) then Datsun (because "son" means loss or failure in Japanese). The marque is still used on pickup trucks in Japan.
Woz was driving a 1981 280-Z so that dates the ad fairly well and is in line with the phase out of the Datsun marque and the phase in of Nissan in the United States. Now, they have partnered with Renault to form Renault-Nissan.

My dad has that car, except it's a rose color. It still looks great and drives very well (gotta love a straight-6 engine).

@Steve
Thanks for the history of Datsun lesson!
I digg that car. They could make a killing if they stuck the hybrid engine in the retro body styling, using the same engine that Lexus is using for their new model.
