Tell us what to ask Guy Kawasaki
Leo Laporte isn't the only upcoming TUAW interviewee you yourselves get to question - we're also going to be interviewing Guy Kawasaki, former Apple Fellow, venture capitalist, author and speaker. Guy has done quite a bit for the Mac world, as he was literally the first official evangelist for the Mac platform and Apple. More recently, Guy snagged an interesting interview with Steve Wozniak that delved a little past the lasers and knee-slapping.So what would you *ask* him, TUAW readers? Lay your questions for the venerable Guy Kawasaki on us, and we'll be sure to bring a few to the interview.

man, i couldn't think of anything. i'd be speechless around the guy -- he's done so much for the mac world. i remember back in the dark days (i.e., the mid-1990s to you youngsters), and he was one of the few bright lights that kept me going as a mac user, and kept my hope alive. guy is just awesome. respect!

Is there a specific career path these days for becoming an evangelist or does it develop naturally?

'What is your definition of a 'technologist' and how does one typically fit into the overall scope of your VC projects?"
Cheers,

As a former Evangelist, how well does Guy feel the present Developer Relations group under Ron Okamoto is doing in helping developers launch insanely great applications - especially in light of the fact that WWDR is part of Phil Schiller's Product Development organization and thus often competing with these very same developers?

Does Guy feel a bit hypocritical jumping back on the Mac bandwagon after abandoning it for IBM?
(Am I the only one who remembers this? Was I having a nightmare?)

I've got two questions - Greedy Me :-):
In your book, you mentioned several companies (other than Apple) that were doing a commendable job in corporate evangelism (like Mazda and the Miata). What 2007 companies are doing an excellent job in corporate evangelism? How are they approaching corporate evangelism and are there different routes to success?
Apple is a very different company, both financially and in the publics mind-share, than it was when you went back in 1995. Where do you think Apple should go? Where would it be logical for Apple to expand? How/Where could Apple use it's fanboy base extend its reach like it did with digital music and the iPod?

Name 3 things that you think Apple is currently doing a first class, top notch job. Name 3 things that Apple is failing miserably at.

As a Greek mac user I would like to ask Mr. Kawasaki:
"Has Apple Inc. any plans for setting up a company in Greece that will comply with the rules and standards that each Apple company worldwide complies with?"
All we need, the Greek Mac users, is to know if there is any case to change the unfair difference between Greece and other European countries and if it is possible to become shortly. Any hope message from you, would be welcome as a seasons gift. Thank you in advance.

Not to "pimp our site" or anything, but we did an interview with Guy K. back in July for our podcast. Neat guy to talk to. I linked the 'view in my name. Not the best audio quality, as he did not want to use the computer to chat, so we had to do standard telephone. (YUCK)
Get him started on his history at Apple, as well as his time at Macworld Magazine, and you should have a fun interview!

Well, what DID Apple look like post-Steve? OTOH, if he never walked the plank, we wouldn't have OSX.

Will blogs, podcasts and social media be seen as a revenue stream with bigger production budgets or will it remain the domain of individuals and small groups who simply have a passion for ideas and products?
