iPhone Credibility Roundup
I just stumbled across a very funny post over at the Apple Credibility blog. It lists the top ten people whose reputation now rests on the actual introduction or announcement of an Apple phone, ranging from Kevin Rose (January launch, small form factor, starting at $249) to Rebecca Runkle (two models, starting at $599, Cingular) and beyond.
As readers know, I'm a huge fan of iPhone rumors. I love the ingenuity, the spectacle, and the passion of the rumors and the iPhoney photoshop efforts. If Jobs does indeed introduce the iPhone tomorrow, it will put an end to one of my favorite hobbies. Well, until the next big thing comes along. Have you heard any scoop about the Google/Apple ubiquitous computing launch?

stop calling it "iPhone" Cisco Systems/Linksys owns the rights to the name and has a product by that name...
and I'm not just saying that because I work for Cisco.
I say we stop speculating until something is actually announced...

The rumormill has titled it that ... so why does it matter. The iTV isn't called the iTV either ... but that's the best name to call it by.
And for your info, Apple owns the rights to the name iPhone in 12 countries and the domain iPhone.org.

The keynote cannot come soon enough for me so as to end this endless and mostly pointless speculation.
Of course if there is no apple phone announcement the rumors will start again the next day.

@DjRyRy
Do you really think Mrs. Sadun doesn't know that?
We are all aware that Cisco already has a product called iPhone, just as we know that there is already at least two "iTV"s in existence (one being a homonym: EyeTV).
It's what we've been calling it for years, and it's what we'll continue to call it until Apple announces it and gives it a new name it will remain an iPhone. On a Apple-dedicated blog is there really a chance for anyone to actaully confuse the two? Of course not.
If anything, the name has actually brought more attention to Cisco's new product line; which in turn, could increase sales, thereby affording you more job security. :-)

So this bullshit has been kicked around for years? And it has as much credibility as the bible.
