Tip of the Day
To get an instant map to any address, just go to your Address Book and right click on the address field of any one of your contacts and select "Map Of." The address will then be revealed in Google Maps on Safari. You can do the same if a data detector determines there is an address in an e-mail in Mail.

Ooohh... even its reverse is perfect! Design, design, design. Can't wait to get my hands on it...
Have dreamed of owning the Real "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" for decades, and this is probably as close as I'll get :) Trust Apple!

I hate to say it, but this is missing one huge thing....front mounted camera. Unless i'm very much mistaken, it doesn't have one...so bang goes video iChat on the iPhone. What a shame. All the 3G (UMTS) mobile phones here in the Uk have them. Have a care, Apple..put a front cam and UMTS in the european models come later this year! ta.

I can't say that I'm terribly thrilled with the design of the hardware, although the software is gorgeous.
The thing seems too... curvy. It looks like Apple Retro, harkening back to the original curvy iBook.

I really couldnt care less that the camera is on the back. I mean I dont plan on taking any self portraits.
And most of the time I talk to people on the phone, I really DONT WANT to seeeeeee them. Phones are great because you can lie lie lie your way out of problems.
"Honey did you pick up the dry cleaning like I asked???"
"Ummmmmmm..... yeeaaaahhh... Im actually there right now."
"Well let me see then!"
"Awww crap..."

Sexy as hell just one question to the guys who have actually seen it up close, does it look like that black bit on the back is removable in other words do you think it will have a replaceable battery in it? No replaceable battery in a bit of kit that will only last just over of year in decent battery life? No deal.

Would love to upgrade the old Samsung cell. It is a device that gets used and abused on a daily basis. The trusty Samy has never failed me. I hope that Apple's new phone will do the same. It looks fragile...not something that I would slide into my pocket with my keys, loose change, etc.
I will give it some serious consideration. Hopefully, there will be some thought put into the practicality of transporting this device. Although I won't be holding my breath on this issue. Apple relies heavily on aftermarket solutions for this.

Same here the killer app which is missing is iChat/Skype VoIP support. I think they've crippled it to appease Cingular.
