Macworld SF 2007 Keynote stream available
The Keynote is now available for streaming on Apple's Quicktime site. Interestingly, you can watch either the whole Keynote, or just the iPhone introduction. Apple is really betting the farm on this phone and if a first impression from a distance is any indicator then they have a hit.I just tried to stream the Keynote, but 'Due to exceptional demand, your request could not be completed at this time. Please try again at a later time.' Try again, Mac faithful, try again.
Thanks to everyone who sent this in.

If you want it on YouTube you'll be waiting awhile. The keynote is streamed from apple, meaning someone first has to capture the stream and due to the huge amount of people watching the keynote right now it's likely going to be awhile till someone has a smooth enough stream capture to be able to put it up for download or on YouTube. If there's one thing I know about watching the keynote day of it's a lagfest! Not to mention with YouTube's 10:00 limit it would be rather time wasting.

Too bad every single apple fan is trying to view the stream at the same time....it's not working at all.

Instead of putting Mr.Schmidt on the board, just put the keynote on Google Video...

Extremely frustrating... I get a stream now, but no sound.

aaaaargh. why don't they just offer the damn thing as a free download on itunes. Or put those Googlecontacts into play like Tahir mentioned.
big time aaaargh.
announcements blew my mind though. I for one like the fact that so few products were announced. Fewer announcements per keynote means more keynotes and special events. I'd rather have sex everyday with one splashing orgasm than seven exhausted ones one day a week.

Bittorrent would have handled this traffic much better.

How do you know? Bittorent wasn't designed for streaming media and I'm pretty sure it would fail in such a scenario.
That sais. Still no sound, argghhh...

If it was available as a torrent file, at least we'd all be able to download it, if not stream. Torrent scales very well—the more people downloading, the faster everyone gets the file.

Why doesn't Apple put their Keynotes up on the iTunes Store for download (free of course)? I was thinking about this last night when struggling to "stream" it.

I watched it last night on a 20-foot screen. Of course, the sound cut out several times.

I got the same problem as a few people here - no audio on the Apple stream... What gives???
I've even reinstalled QuickTime and STILL no audio... tried another user account and no audio. You'd think Apple would be able to organize their own keynote to stream to their own computers (iMac, 10.4.8, 7.1.3 Quicktime) with their own player faultlessly!
Other streams from apple.com have sound, what's wrong with this one????
