Clickable Bliss recently took the wraps off of Billable 1.1, a nice update to their billable hours tracking app. New in this update:
- Tax support (both US and International)
- Custom Invoice numbering
- New footer area for customizable notes
- Many bugs smashed

I use Billable, and only Billable to handle all my invoicing and hour tracking needs. It's a slick little program, with a lot of great features and nothing cluttering it up. The developer, Mike, has also been great. He personally answers emails and discusses suggestions with you... Just thought I would add my stamp of approval...

I use Billable for my small service based business and it is a great app. The recent update has included features that I often thought of emailing the developer. After reading the post above, I am excited about sending some of my suggestions.
Great small business app! Simple, easy, clean design.

Money is a bit tight.
Anyone know of any free alternatives?

Looking for a billing application that will support law office invoice time slips and bill generation.
This seems to have a very limited "description of services" field...most lawyers need 500-1000 characters, looks like this can't handle more than a short phrase, am I right?

Money being tight or not... there is no alternative. This program is what, like $14? Put this and Cashbox together (which is freeware) and you can run very quick, stylish, and well organized circles around programs like Quickbooks which run you hundreds of dollars. This program is worth much more than its price. I would suggest getting it.
And as far as the short description... I have been able to leave very detailed lists of services. I would try the trial version and see. The main thing to remember is you can make an invoice for several services. Each with their own description and price. Try it out. It really is great.
